Our Heritage
The company was founded by people with decades of experience in the industry.
In 1994, Richard Hawkins and Felix Fernandez, two car rental executives who had worked in the industry both nationally and internationally for decades, felt that there was room for another quality player. From this conviction was born Hawk Rent a Car.
The vision was to provide quality rental cars to domestic and international customers in Malaysia and elsewhere. One of the key decisions was that Hawkins and Fernandez would both be directly involved in the business. For thirty years both of them have remained active in Hawk on a day-to-day basis.
Arising out of this approach to running Hawk in Malaysia, a key objective has been to ensure that all management and staff take personal care of the customer and responsibility for the business.
